Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) leader and United Democratic Front (UDF) candidate A.K.M. Ashraf registered a resounding victory in the Manjeswaram Assembly constituency, defeating the BJP’s K. Surendran by a margin of 29,252 votes.

Mr. Ashraf secured 96,948 votes against Mr. Surendran’s 67,696, marking a dramatic surge from his narrow 754-vote win in 2021. The emphatic margin underlines the decisive consolidation of support in favour of the UDF candidate.
