Industries and Commerce Minister T.G. Bharath Gupta said the State has achieved unprecedented development in all regions in the past two years since the coalition government came to power.
Participating in the second day of ‘Mahanadu’ programme in Kurnool on Thursday, he paid tributes to TDP founder and former Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao by garlanding his portrait. Various events were held across Kurnool, Nandyal and Anantapur district on the birth anniversary of NTR.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Bharath described NTR as a leader of whom the entire nation can be proud, noting that the welfare schemes implemented by the TDP founder have served as exemplary models for the entire country.
Mr. Bharath said that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was governing the State by upholding and continuing the ideals of NTR. “Under Mr. Naidu’s administration, the government firmly stands in support of the poor in every possible way,” he said.
The Minister also assured that he was working tirelessly for the development of Kurnool. He mentioned that he was striving to transform the Government General Hospital in Kurnool into a facility with corporate standards.
Meanwhile, as part of the initiative to turn Kurnool into a Smart City, over 850 new electric poles have been installed across the city, more than 40 transformers have been set up, and any issue brought to the notice of officials have been resolved immediately.
