The International Day for Monuments and Sites was observed in Kalaburagi on Saturday with a renewed emphasis on conserving local heritage structures.
Member of the Legislative Council Tippannappa Kamaknoor, who visited the Bara Gazi Toph, a 29-ft cannon, situated atop the Bahmani Fort in Kalaburagi, stressed the need for collective efforts to preserve the historical monument.
