The Union Ministry of Steel has appointed M.N.V.S. Prabhakar as the new Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.
An official order issued by the Board Level Appointment Cell under the Ministry of Steel on Friday stated that the appointment was approved by the President of India. Presently serving as Executive Director of NMDC Steel Limited (NSL), Prabhakar will assume charge as CMD of RINL.
According to the order, he will continue in the position till his superannuation on April 30, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
