The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave warning in 12 Telangana districts and a thunderstorm forecast in six other districts for Wednesday.

According to IMD’s latest bulletin, heatwave conditions are very likely to prevail in isolated pockets of Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Nalgonda, Suryapet and Kamareddy districts.

Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds are very likely to occur at isolated places in Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool and Wanaparthy districts.

Hyderabad and its surrounding areas for the next 24 hours will see a partly cloudy sky. “Hazy conditions are very likely to prevail during morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 41C and 29C, respectively,” the bulletin said.
