A fire broke out at a residential building in Anand Nagar Colony, Chintal Basti, on Saturday morning, triggering a swift response from fire personnel who safely evacuated all occupants without any injuries.

The incident was reported at 7.07 a.m. at a residence in Sri Sai Nilayam, a ground-plus-three-storey building with a penthouse, located opposite Ram Leela Ground. According to officials, the fire originated on the ground floor under the staircase in the electrical meter area, and is suspected to have been caused by an electrical fault.

Fire personnel from the Amberpet Fire Station rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control using a fire extinguisher, preventing the flames from spreading to other parts of the building.

At the time of the incident, 17 residents were present on different floors of the building. On the ground floor, Pramitha (27), Priyanka (23) and Sushmitha (21) were present. The first floor was occupied by Gopi Krishna (22), Vamsi (22), Priyatam (25), Bunny (22) and Rahul (25). On the second floor, the occupants included Yesuraj (55), Shyamala (50), Jyothi (24) and Praveen (28). Residents on the third floor were V.J. Prasad (50), V. Lalitha (52), Vinod (24), Suresh (25) and Sai (25).

All occupants were safely evacuated from the building, and no casualties or injuries were reported.

Further investigation is underway.
