The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) will organise Mahanadu 2026 in a hybrid format from May 27, combining physical participation at the party headquarters in Amaravati with a digitally connected network across Andhra Pradesh.

TDP State president Palla Srinivasa Rao described the annual conclave as the “emotional heartbeat” of the party, saying it has grown into a platform that reflects Telugu identity, organisational strength and the party’s political direction. He said this year’s edition would carry that spirit into the digital age.

Originally planned as a large-scale gathering in Nellore, the event was redesigned in view of global uncertainties and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal for restraint in public expenditure. The party has now opted for a digitally synchronised convention linking cadres through 1,848 cluster centres equipped with LED screens and real-time interaction facilities.

Senior leaders said Nara Lokesh played an important role in shaping the programme’s digital framework. Party cadres across the State will be able to interact virtually with TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu and other senior leaders during the sessions.

Women’s empowerment

This year’s Mahanadu will focus on women’s empowerment under the theme “Stree Shakti,” while also deliberating on organisational strategy, welfare programmes and Andhra Pradesh’s development agenda.

The two-day convention will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days. Special technical teams have been deployed across the State to ensure seamless connectivity and coordination.
