Telangana continues to reel under extreme heat, with 18 out of the State’s 33 districts recording maximum temperatures of 41°C or above.
According to data from Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS), on Friday (April 10, 2026) Endapalli in Jagtial district recorded the highest maximum temperature of 41.7°C. This was followed by 41.6°C in Konijerla (Khammam), Venkatapuram (Mulugu), Gudipally (Nalgonda), Mamda (Nirmal) and Bheemgal (Nizamabad).
41.5°C was recorded in Sirpur (Kumaram Bheem Asifabad), Seerole (Mahabubabad), Tandur (Mancherial), Tadoor (Nagarkurnool) and Anthergoan (Peddapalli), 41.4°C in Pinapaka (Bhadradri Kothagudem), 41.2°C in Revally (Wanaparthy), 41.1°C in Chityal (Jayashankar Bhupalpally), Chinna Chintha Kunta (Mahabubnagar) and 41°C in Gadwal (Jogulamba Gadwal), Maddirala (Suryapet) and Duggondi (Warangal).
Out of the remaining 15 districts, 13 recorded temperatures between 40°C and 41°C. Only two locations recorded temperatures below 40°C, with Rudrangi in Rajanna Sircilla at 39.8°C and Asifnagar in Hyderabad at 38.8°C.
In response to the rising temperatures, the Telangana health department issued a heatwave advisory on April 9, outlining precautions and safety measures for the public. The advisory comes in the wake of a warning from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), which has forecast a gradual increase of 2°C to 3°C in maximum temperatures over the next three days.
