Yashoda Hospitals Hyderabad concluded the three-day International Skull Base Endoscopy Summit 2.0, bringing together more than 500 national and international experts to deliberate on advancements in minimally invasive brain tumour surgeries. The summit was held from April 24 to 26.
The final day of the conference was inaugurated by hospital director Pavan Gorukanti, who underscored the institution’s commitment to advancing healthcare through education and innovation. He said the focus extended beyond patient care to shaping the future of medicine through training and research.
According to neurosurgeon Ayyadurai, skull base surgery demands high precision and continuous skill enhancement. He said the conference covered a wide spectrum of topics, including endoscopic endonasal approaches, transcranial surgeries for complex lesions, and management of pituitary tumours and sellar region disorders.
Discussions also focused on anterior, middle and posterior skull base lesions, cerebrospinal fluid leak repairs, reconstruction methods, minimally invasive techniques and emerging developments in robotic neurosurgery.
