Over 1,000 motorists were booked during a special enforcement drive targeting mobile phone use while driving in Malkajgiri on Thursday, April 23, 2026. Another 15 cases of unauthorised siren usage were also booked, with fines totalling ₹10.55 lakh imposed on violators.
Officials conducted checks at major junctions and accident-prone stretches, focusing on dangerous driving behaviour linked to phone usage, dangerous maneuvers and illegal use of sirens on vehicles.
