The State government has initiated yet another disciplinary action against N. Prasanth, the Kerala cadre IAS officer who is on suspension, for making unauthorised comments against the government to the media. Mr. Prasanth has in recent days appeared in chat shows in television and YouTube channels and made comments against the State government. 

Mr. Prasanth was placed on suspension on November 11, 2024, for levelling serious allegations against Mr. Jayathilak, then Additional Chief Secretary and now the Chief Secretary of Kerala, and then Chief Secretary Sarada Muraleedharan. The suspension has since been extended multiple times.
