The Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel attached to Mangaluru Central station under Southern Railway on Tuesday booked 15 people for trespassing on railway property and fined ₹500 per person, collecting a penalty of ₹7,500.
RPF Inspector Manoj Kumar Yadav and his staff conducted a special drive on the Netravathi twin bridges, during which the trespassers were rounded up, said a statement. Many were found fishing while sitting in the gap between the bridge’s girders and the pillars.
