Visakhapatnam Member of Parliament M. Sribharat on Tuesday said that the coalition government was committed to ensuring healthcare security for poor and middle-class families through accessible medical assistance and welfare initiatives.

Distributing financial assistance cheques under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) at his office, Mr. Sribharat said the scheme was providing crucial support to families during medical emergencies and helping ensure that financial hardship do not stop people from availing treatment.

A total assistance of ₹7,95,441 was distributed among nine beneficiaries from the Visakhapatnam North and Bheemili Assembly constituencies. The beneficiaries included Bevara Kiranmayi, Bharniki Padma, Narava Toutaiah, Karanam Appalaraju, the family of Sheikh Mahaboob Vali, Maddugari Ramana, Ravupalli Appalakonda, Esarapu Gavararaju and Karubhukta Suramma.

The MP thanked the Chief Minister’s Office for extending timely assistance to families facing medical emergencies and said that public welfare would continue to remain a priority of the government.

Meanwhile, newly appointed trust board members of Sri Maha Ganapathi Prasanna Venkateswara Sri Ayyappa Shirdi Saibaba Temple at Seethammadhara and Sri Uma Neelakanteswara Swamy Devasthanam at Nakkavanipalem met Matukumilli Sribharat at his Lawsons Bay Colony office.

Mr. Sribharat felicitated the newly appointed chairpersons, T. Suryaprakasa Rao and K.V.V. Gopala Raju, along with other trust board members.

Addressing them, he said that the temple development and improved services for devotees should remain the primary objective of trust boards. He further stressed the need to conduct rituals and pujas in accordance with established traditions. He sought coordination with the Endowments Department, and sought to create a devotee-friendly atmosphere with easier access for ‘darshan’ for common devotees.
