The State Cabinet on Thursday, gave administrative approval to an estimate of ₹13 crore for the development of State Highway 118 from Uppinangady to Guruvayanakere in Dakshina Kannada district.
This approval was given in the Cabinet meeting held at the Vidhana Soudha, said District in-charge Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao in an official release. The State highway from Uppinangady to Guruvayankare, connecting Mangaluru-Bengaluru National Highway 75 and Mangaluru-Tumakuru NH 73, is a hilly, sloping and winding road. It is an important highway connecting Bengaluru and the district headquarters as well as Dharmasthala, Venur, Sahasralingeshwara Temple, Puttur Mahalingeshwara Temple etc.
