Twelve mobile phones belonging to devotees, which were kept in the underseat storage of a two-wheeler, were allegedly stolen at Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam atop Indrakeeladri on Tuesday.
According to police, students from various colleges in Amaravati had visited the temple to have ‘darshan’ of the deity on Sunday. They had placed their mobile phones in the underseat storage of a two-wheeler before going to the temple. After returning from darshan, they found that their mobile phones were missing, following which they lodged a complaint with the One Town police.
