“In the name and on the behalf of the Senate of Andhra University, ….,” the formal and dignified voice of Prof. K.R. Srinivasa Ayengar, the then Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University (AU) at its convocation in 1968 heard by me, a 10-year-old sitting next to my mother in the visitors’ gallery, still resounds inspiringly in my ears.
