A speeding luxury car lost control, crashed into a road divider and overturned near Medicover Hospitals in Hitec City late on Thursday (May 14, 2026) night. The car did not have a number plate when people reached the accident site.
According to the police, the car, a Land Rover Defender, was being driven at high speed when the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle. The car rammed into the divider before overturning on the road.
The driver and another occupant of the vehicle abandoned the car and fled from the spot before the police reached the scene. Police said no injuries were reported in the accident.
Investigators are examining the possibility of drunk driving, although there is no confirmation yet on whether the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
The Madhapur police have launched an investigation and are examining CCTV footage from nearby areas to trace the occupants who fled the scene.
