Two alleged shooters wanted in connection with the murder of a man in northeast Delhi's Yamuna Khadar area were arrested after a brief encounter with the police, an official said on Thursday (June 18, 2026).
The accused, identified as Atif and Ismail, were allegedly captured on CCTV cameras opening fire on Rashid in broad daylight.
According to police, the two had been absconding since the murder and were being tracked by multiple teams.
Acting on a tip-off about their location, a crime branch team laid a trap and intercepted them, the official said.
During the operation, an exchange of fire took place between the accused and the police team, following which both were apprehended, police said.
