Building collapses near Saket metro station; 8 persons rescued, several feared trapped

At least eight persons were rescued after a multi-storeyed building collapsed in Saket on Saturday (May 30, 2026) evening. The Delhi Fire Services (DFS) officials received a call at 7.45 p.m. Five fire tenders were rushed to the spot, officials said. The residents had already rescued three persons before the arrival of the DFS team. “The building, located at Saidulajab near Saket metro station, had ground plus three upper floors. The third floor was under construction. It is not clear whether the building was privately owned or a government building,” a DFS official said.
