The Telangana Pollution Control Board has launched the ‘State Best Environmental Performance Awards, 2026, to recognise the outstanding contributions towards environmental protection and sustainability across the State.
Awards will be presented in the categories of schools, colleges, urban self-help groups, rural self-help groups, village panchayats, industries, private hospitals, government hospitals, and municipalities that have demonstrated significant achievements in pollution control measures, elimination of single use plastics, and solid and plastic waste management. In each category, first, second and third prizes will be awarded.
The award ceremony will be held on June 5, 2026, marking the occasion of World Environment Day, a statement from TGPCB informed.
