Erode district recorded an overall pass percentage of 97.03 in the Class 10 examinations, the results of which were declared on Wednesday (May 20, 2026). The district ranked eighth among all districts in the State in terms of pass percentage.

Of the 23,879 students ( 11,845 boys and 12,034 girls) who appeared for the exam from 353 schools, a total of 23,169 students passed (11,358 boys and 11,811 girls). The overall pass percentage among boys stood at 95.89, while that of girls was 98.15. A total of 178 schools recorded centum results.

The overall pass percentage of government schools in the district stood at 95.44. Of the 12,541 students who appeared from government schools, including 5,923 boys and 6,618 girls, 11,970 students passed (5,550 boys and 6,420 girls). While the pass percentage among boys stood at 93.70, it was 97 among girls. Of the 189 government schools in the district, 69 recorded centum results.

An official from the School Education Department said provisional mark sheets would be distributed from May 22, while applications for scanned copies of answer sheets could be submitted from May 22 to 27. Supplementary examinations will be held from July 8 to 15, and applications for the same can be submitted from May 26 to June 9. Applications for revaluation or retotalling can be submitted from June 17 to 19, the official added.
