The Geological Survey of India, along with IIC Technologies is carrying out aerial survey of mines and minerals in select parts of Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri. The survey will be done at an altitude of 270 ft. for precision survey of areas rich in mines and minerals.
A small-sized single-engine aircraft Cessna Caravan 208B is being deployed for the survey. The district administration has urged public to not to panic at the sighting of a low-altitude aircraft as it is a government-led exercise.
This exercise will be under way till June 10, 2026. Clarifications regarding the exercise can be sought at the nearest police station or the revenue authorities, an administration release said.
