A 31-year-old hotel worker was arrested for allegedly posing as a police officer at the Telangana Secretariat and falsely claiming to have links with the Chief Minister’s Office to mislead the public.
The accused was identified as Thaturi Ravi alias Charan Yadav alias Nikhil Yadav, a resident of Vasavi Nagar on Ramanthapur Road in Amberpet. A case was registered by the Saifabad police on suo motu basis on charges of impersonation, cheating and provisions under the Information Technology Act.
