The Visakhapatnam city police have arrested 83 offenders who were allegedly involved in various property offences in March 2026 and recovered ₹67 lakh worth property from them.

Addressing the ‘Monthly Crime Mela’, Commissioner of Police, Shankhabrata Bagchi said that in March this year, as many as 77 cases of property offences were reported in the city under various heads. Special teams which were formed, used technical methods and detected 67 cases. As many as 83 offenders involved in those 67 cases were arrested and property worth ₹67.54 lakh was recovered. He said that the recovered property includes 926 grams of gold, 3,520 grams of silver, ₹4.77 lakh cash.
