SIPCOT Industrial Estate conducted an awareness meeting on factory safety and compliance for factories in Gummidipoondi recently.
The meeting discussed safety awareness, safe working environment, adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), heatwave mitigation measures, occupational health hazards, accident prevention among other issues, according to a press release.
It also added that instructions were given to factories regarding the matters discussed.
High-ranking officials of the human resources and safety departments of the factories in Gummidipoondi Industrial Estate Complex attended the meeting. Joint Director of Industrial Safety and Health M. Jawahar. P.E, Deputy Director Hemalatha, were among others who were present at the meeting.
