Transport Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy and Housing Minister Kolusu Parthasarathi on Sunday underscored the efficacy of religious welfare and housing initiatives while inspecting the works at NTR Housing Layout in Diguvabbavaram village and a local temple near Rayachoti in Annamayya district.
Mr. Ramprasad Reddy said the government led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is committed to protecting the Hindu dharma and plans to take up construction of 5,000 temples in the first phase. He said that ₹13 crore has been mobilised through the Chief Minister’s relief fund and over ₹30 crore sanctioned, with 30 temples grounded and 70 more targeted by July.
