Three get life imprisonment for gang rape of girl in Dharmapuri

A POCSO court here on Friday sentenced three men to life imprisonment for the gang rape of a 17-year-old girl in 2023. The accused, Kollapuri (65), Manikandan (55) and Manjunathan (33), abducted the survivor who was returning home after watching a street theatre performance. The three took her to a nearby field and raped her. A complaint was lodged with the police and the accused were arrested. The court also imposed a fine of ₹50,000 on them.
