In a tragic incident, a nine-year-old girl was electrocuted on Tuesday evening when she was playing on the terrace of her house in Belagavi district.
The accident occured at Sanvi Kamble’s house in Ingali village of Chikkodi taluk of Belagavi district.
A class III student Sanvi was skipping on the terrace when the skipping rope accidently fell on the power line that passed over the house.
According to sources, Sanvi got electrocuted as she tried to pull the rope and fell down from the terrace. Although she was immediately rushed to a private hospital, she did not survive.
Ankali Police have registered a case.
