Librarian-turned free software enthusiast Sruthi Chandran has been elected Debian Project Leader (DPL). Ms. Chandran, who hails from Kerala’s Kannur district, is the first woman and the first Asian to hold this position.
One of the oldest and widely used Linux-based operating systems, Debian has been developed by a community of volunteers from all around the world.
