School Education Department rejects allegations of irregu...

The Andhra Pradesh School Education Department on Tuesday dismissed allegations surrounding the conduct of Mega DSC-2025, including claims of question paper leakage, irregularities in candidate selection and deletion of data, terming them “false, baseless and malicious.”

In an official statement, the department said the allegations were intended to create anxiety among unemployed teacher aspirants and undermine confidence in the recruitment process.

Officials stated that the Mega DSC examinations were conducted through a highly secure Computer Based Test (CBT) system in multiple sessions, making question paper leakage technically impossible. They said no complaints or evidence relating to any leakage had been received so far.

Referring to allegations concerning candidate P. Naveen, the department clarified that he had worked as an outsourced Data Entry Operator at SCERT and appeared for the examination without obtaining prior permission from the authorities. Though he was called for certificate verification, he failed to attend, resulting in cancellation of his candidature under Rule 20(vi) of the DSC notification. The rule stipulates that candidates who fail to attend certificate verification would have their candidature cancelled and the next meritorious candidate would be considered in their place.

The department also clarified that selections, including those for Urdu Medium School Assistant (Biology) posts in Annamayya and Kadapa districts, were made strictly in accordance with merit and reservation roster rules. It said complete merit lists containing candidate details, marks and ranks had been published online before certificate verification.

According to officials, the Mega DSC-2025 recruitment process for 16,347 vacancies was completed transparently within a record 148 days. They added that implementation of horizontal reservations for women, persons with benchmark disabilities, ex-servicemen and sports quota candidates had resulted in some lower-ranked candidates being called for verification in accordance with roster procedures.
