The Assembly election results in Pudukottai district reflected a split mandate with the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) securing three seats, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) winning two, and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) retaining Viralimalai.
The DMK held on to Thirumayam, Alangudi, and Pudukottai constituencies while the AIADMK maintained its stronghold in Viralimalai. TVK, meanwhile, made notable inroads by capturing Aranthangi and Gandharvakottai (SC) constituency.
