Facing an internal split within the party, the Pattali Makkal Katchi, led by Anbumani Ramadoss, had won 2 seats and was leading in two more seats, out of 18 assembly seats it contested as part of the National Democratic Alliance, in Tamil Nadu on Monday.
As on 8.30 pm, the EC website had announced the victories of Sowmiya Anbumani, president of Pasumai Thayagama, and wife of Dr. Anbumani, in Dharmapuri, and G. Vaithilingam in Jayamkondam.
