The Coimbatore Corporation has announced zonal contact numbers for the public to register complaints related to drinking water supply in the city.
Corporation Commissioner M. Sivaguru Prabakaran said steps were being taken to improve basic amenities, including drinking water supply, roads and streetlights, across all 100 wards under the East, West, North, South and Central zones of the Corporation.
He said uninterrupted drinking water supply was being provided at regular intervals during the summer and that damaged borewells were also being repaired to ensure water distribution.
Members of the public can register complaints related to drinking water supply through WhatsApp number 81900 00200 or through zonal helpline numbers — East Zone: 89258 40945, West Zone: 89259 75981, North Zone: 89259 75980, South Zone: 90430 66114 and Central Zone: 89259 75982.
The Commissioner said immediate action would be taken on complaints and grievances related to drinking water supply.
