Anjugramam police seized 204 kg of banned gutka in Anjugramam area on Saturday.
Acting on a tip off that illegal sale of gutka was taking place in Anjugramam area, police conducted an inspection. During the search, 204 kg of gutka, which had been stored for sale on a premises belonging to two individuals, were seized. They were identified as R. Selvakumar, 38, and S. Mahesh, 51, both residents of Mylaudy.
Anjugramam police have registered a case and further investigations are on.
