Applications are invited from eligible candidates for one-year and two-year ITI courses offered by government and private institutions in Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam regions.

Candidates interested to join ITI courses could apply through URLs https://www.centacpuducherry.in/ or https://labour.py.gov.in. No fee is collected from candidates for applying through the portal of Centralised Admission Committee. Those who have studied Class 8 and Class 10 could apply for the courses appropriate for their qualifications. There is no upper age limit for joining ITIs, Assistant Director (Training)-cum-State Controller of Examinations P. Saravanan said.

Stipend of ₹1,000

Candidates joining a course in government ITIs are eligible for a stipend of ₹1,000 per month. Based on merit examination, one candidate will be offered a scholarship of ₹1,000 per month also. In addition, all candidates joining ITI courses are offered mid-day meal, uniform and textbooks free of cost. 

Courses offered by government ITIs are Computer Operator, Electrician, Draughtsman (civil), AC Mechanic, Motor Mechanic, Electronics, Wiremen, Sewing Technology, Cosmetology, Welder, Turner, Drone Technician, Solar Technician, Mechanic Electric Vehicles, Fitter, Catering and Hospitality courses.
