An Assistant Divisional Engineer (ADE) in Nalgonda district was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on April 16 while accepting a bribe of ₹30,000 for clearing an official bill related to electrical works.
According to the ACB, the accused officer, Sirikonda Saidulu, serving in Devarakonda, had demanded bribe from a complainant for processing and forwarding a bill worth ₹10 lakh. The bill pertained to electrical restoration work undertaken by the complainant following damage to a 33/11 kV power line during a storm on October 29, 2025. The line is connected to the Kambalapally substation.
The tainted money was recovered from his possession. He was arrested and produced before the special court for SPE and ACB cases in Nampally and was remanded to judicial custody. The ACB stated that further investigation into the case is underway, while the identity of the complainant has been withheld for security reasons.
