The first stage of randomisation of counting personnel for the Tamil Nadu Assembly election 2026 was held in Coimbatore on April 27, 2026 (Monday), under the supervision of District Election Officer Pavankumar G. Giriyappanavar, as part of preparations for counting of votes.
The process was carried out using software developed by the Chief Electoral Officer. Officials said a database comprising more than 120 per cent of required personnel in each category, including counting supervisors, counting assistants and micro observers, was used for the draw.
