The Delhi High Court on Wednesday (April 22, 2026) asked the city authorities to chalk out a strategy to implement the Supreme Court’s directives on developing a protocol for open correctional institutions and identify prisoners who can be transferred there.
A Bench of Chief Justice D.K. Upadhyaya and Justice Tejas Karia asked the Delhi government to file an affidavit detailing the steps taken to ensure compliance of the Supreme Court’s order, passed on February 26.
