The Department of Employment and Training has announced online admissions for 2026 to courses in 30 trades offered through five ITIS (Industrial Training Institute).

The Govt. ITI and Govt. ITI for Women in Coimbatore, and the ITIs in Anaikatti, Valparai and Perur offer courses in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer-related courses, Apparel-related trades, Drone Pilot, Industrial Robotics, and Electric Vehicle technology for candidates with 8th / 10th / 11th / 12th / Diploma / Degree qualifications in the age group of 14 to 40 years. There is no upper age limit for women, an official press release said.

Applications will be received online at www.skilltraining.tn.gov.in till June 3, 2026. Applicants can also visit admission help centres at ITIs or district skill training centre with the following documents: 8th / 10th mark sheet, Transfer Certificate, Community Certificate, passport-size photo, and Aadhaar card.

Upon admission, students will be entitled to free laptop, bicycle, uniform, textbooks, drawing kit, shoes, and bus pass, besides monthly stipend of ₹750.

Candidates, who had undergone education in Tamil medium in government schools from Class 6 to 12, will receive ₹1,000 under Pudhumai Penn/ Tamil Pudhalvan) scheme. All candidates will be placed after completion of courses.
