Continuing its hunt against criminal elements, the city police arrested 84 persons on Sunday.
A senior police officer said the police continued the special raids against history-sheeters and drug peddlers in which 84 criminals, including 45 history-sheeters were arrested. The raids and arrest were part of the operation for a crime-free city.
The operation supervised by senior police officials in the rank of Additional Commissioners, Joint Commissioners, and Deputy Commissioners, resulted in the nabbing of not only 84 persons but also seizure of 5.25 kg of ganja, 3.5 grams of Methamphetamine, 115 pain-relief tablets, and 2.6 kg of banned tobacco products, he said.
