The Andhra Pradesh State Cabinet on Thursday approved enhanced rehabilitation benefits for families displaced by the Polavaram irrigation project, increasing housing assistance and land compensation under the one-time settlement (OTS) scheme.
In a major relief measure for the affected households, the Cabinet, at its meeting chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in Amaravati, decided to raise the unit cost for house construction from ₹2.85 lakh to ₹3.57 lakh.
