Minister for Medical Education and Skill Development Sharan Prakash Patil has announced a mega employment drive in Kalaburagi that is expected to facilitate recruitment for around 3,500 people in private national and multinational companies in various sectors.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Dr. Patil said that 15 leading companies will participate in the recruitment drive, offering employment opportunities in sectors such as automobile, manufacturing, engineering, retail, energy, technology and services.

The Minister said that the drive will provide a platform for job-seekers from Kalaburagi and neighbouring districts to access employment opportunities in cities, including Pune and Hyderabad.

Recruitment will be carried out for a range of positions in engineering, technical operations, manufacturing, production, quality assurance, supply chain management, retail operations, customer support and other industry-related fields.

Appealing to unemployed youth, graduates, diploma holders, ITI candidates and engineering students to take advantage of the opportunity, Dr. Patil urged them to register online and participate in the recruitment process. He said that the initial screening will be conducted through online registrations and candidates shortlisted by companies will subsequently be called for physical interviews.

The Minister said that the initiative is aimed at connecting skilled youth with industry requirements and strengthening employment opportunities in the Kalyana Karnataka region.

However, the dates for the job fair will be announced after the registration process is completed and the number of participating aspirants is assessed, enabling organisers to plan the event in line with industry requirements and expected demand, Dr. Patil added.

Registration

Eligible candidates can register through the designated online portals. SSLC, PU, ITI, Diploma and Degree holders may submit their applications through https://forms.gle/8XCtgKmTmd7KZrW77. while Bachelor of Engineering and Technology students can register through https://forms.gle/ikTzHpfLRN8KgJUg8.

Dedicated portal

Dr. Patil said that the State government will soon launch a dedicated portal for job aspirants to register their educational qualifications and skill details.

The platform will enable recruiting companies to access the database and identify suitable candidates based on their workforce requirements, thereby improving employment opportunities and industry-job seeker connectivity.
