A chain snatcher allegedly attacked a woman, identified as Sita Mahalakshmi, with a knife, causing serious injuries at Pamidimukkala mandal in Krishna district on Sunday (May 3, 2026). The accused, in a bid to snatch the victim’s gold chain, attacked her but fled the spot after she raised alarm. The woman suffered critical injuries and was rushed to a hospital, villagers said. Police have registered a case and launched a hunt to identify the accused.
