The cyber war between various factions of the Congress in Kerala over the potential Chief Ministerial candidate has taken a legal turn, with Vimala Binu, a member of the party’s digital media team, serving a legal notice on Youth Congress leader Rejith Raveendran for alleged defamation.
Ms. Binu had lodged a complaint with the State Police Chief against the alleged fake WhatsApp chat screenshots targeting leaders such as K.C. Venugopal, which were circulated in cyberspace nearly a week ago. Reportedly, Mr. Raveendran filed a complaint on the matter with the All India Congress Committee and later allegedly leaked it to the media.
