Raichur Women Police, on Tuesday, registered a case against a Sub-Inspector of Police of the State Intelligence working in Yadgir for kidnapping and raping a woman police constable who is working in the rural station in Raichur.
According to the FIR, the accused is Eranna Srishail Alur.
The accused and the victim met at a coaching centre and later, they were continuously in Sindagi in 2017. They were on contact through phone calls.
The victim said that she was raped by the accused five-six times from 2020 to 2023 when she was working as an SDA in the Mines and Geology Department in Koppal and later, as a police constable in Raichur.
He forcibly gave her pills twice to induce an abortion, threatening her to make her photos with him public.
The FIR said that the victim’s kidnapping bid by the accused in Yadgir during November 2025 ended with the interference of the police, and later, the matter was settled after elders advised him.
Meanwhile, the accused shared her photos with him in a social media platform on May 5, after her marriage was fixed for this Friday, and some channels telecast that news without blurring her face.
The incident caused her mental agony, the FIR further said.
Following the complaint, the police registered a case under Sections 64, 89 and 137(2) of The Bharatiya Nyaya Samhita 2023 and Sections 3 (1)(r)(s), 3 (1)(w)(I) and 3(2)(v) of The Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act 1989 and launched investigation.
