The State government has set in motion the process for providing comprehensive healthcare to all its employees.
The government has accordingly decided to collect data relating to its employees, pensioners and their family members and dependents for issuing health cards providing medical coverage to the employees. The government has earlier constituted an exclusive Employee Health Care Trust (EHCT) for implementation of the new employee health scheme.
In a memo issued on Tuesday, Finance Department Special Secretary Sikta Patnaik said data collection as defined in Section-7 of the Telangana Integrated Medical Attendance Rules was required for effective implementation of the scheme. The secretaries, heads of departments, pension sanctioning authorities and drawing and disbursement officers were directed to take immediate necessary action for collection and uploading of the employees, pensioners and their family members and dependents data in the prescribed proforma in the IFMIS-HR module. May 31 has been set as the last date for collection and uploading the data.
Terming the circular “most important”, the official directed the administrative departments to closely monitor the process and ensure that the data was collected accurately and uploaded with the stipulated time.
