The trailer of Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri’s upcoming film Maa Behen was unveiled by the makers on Friday (May 22, 2026). Written by Pooja Tolani and directed by Suresh Triveni, Maa Behen also stars Ravi Kishan, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Dharna Durgaa and Arunoday Singh in pivotal roles.

The trailer introduces a middle class household in Northern Indian where lives a mother, Rekha (Madhuri) and her two daughters— Jaya (Triptii) and Sushma (Dharna). Rekha is a single mother, who is keeping up with the tantrums of her daughters. Their dysfunctional dynamics take a murderous turn when a dead body is discovered in the house. The three try to hide the body from nosy neighbours as cops get involved. The film promises to be a humorous crime-comedy with a lot of chaos.

Speaking of the film, Suresh said in a statement, “With Maa Behen, we wanted to tell a story that feels both rooted and wildly entertaining, backed by terrific performance. Each character brings a completely different energy to the story, making their dynamic messy, unpredictable, and deeply human.“

Madhuri added, “Rekha is not your typical Hindi cinema mother, and that’s exactly what made the character so exciting for me. As an actor, it’s incredibly rewarding to explore layered, unpredictable roles that challenge the audience’s expectations. Rekha may not be a perfect mother, but like any mother, she wants the best for her daughters and tries to hold her family together amidst all the chaos. Thanks to creators like Suresh Triveni and partners like Netflix and Abundantia Entertainment, trying to push the envelope, I got the opportunity to present audiences with this unexpected story and character.”

Maa Behen is produced by Vikram Malhotra and Suresh Triveni and will be released on Netflix on June 4.
