Kuvempu University has decided to confer honorary doctorates on former legislator and socialist Konandur Lingappa, theatre personality K.V. Akshara, and former director of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Professor H.A. Ranganath at its 35th annual convocation to be held at Basava Sabhabhavana in the university’s campus at Shankarghatta, near Shivamogga, on May 6.

Karnataka’s Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, who is the Chancellor of the university, has approved the names for the honorary doctorates. He will preside over the convocation.
