The High Court of Karnataka on Thursday stayed the order of a special court, which had on April 21 directed the Tumakuru police to register an FIR against Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara and Tumakuru Deputy Commissioner Subha Kalyan over alleged illegal betting during a public kabbadi tournament in October 2025.
Justice S. Sunil Dutt Yadav passed the interim order on a petition filed by Dr. Parameshwara, who had questioned the legality of the order passed by the special court of magistrate for criminal cases against former and current MPs and MLAs.
