The police on Monday arrested a 32-year-old man on charge of bludgeoning a platform dweller to death near Coimbatore Medical College Hospital (CMCH). G. Rajesh of Swamimalai in Thanjavur district was arrested for murdering an unidentified man aged about 65.
The police said that M. Rajadurai, an ambulance driver, found the man lying dead near the gate of CMCH on Government Arts College Road around 8.30 a.m. on Monday. The deceased had a head injury and a blood-stained paver block was found near the body.
